A little about me…
Hi, I’m Russ Tatlow – Hobart based portrait photographer, shameless lover of fine coffee, craft beer, wheeled sports and the great outdoors.
How did I get started in this line of work?
I was studying Graphic Design when I first became interested in Photography. A large part of my course involved image taking and photo retouching. After completing my education I worked, as an Intern Photographer/Graphic Designer, with Amnesty International where I photographed events and marches. I then began photographing sporting events, dance events and fine art portraits for people (athletes, dancers and general portraits).
I enjoy working with people of all ages who either love to dance, enjoy a specific sport, have pets they adore, musicians, bands, families, businesses and non-profit organisations (OK…that’s almost everyone). I also regularly work with; Cancer Council, House of Dance, YMCA, Tasmanian Youth Classical Ballet Company.
What’s your style?
You can choose between summery outdoor shots to classic/edgy studio portraits that fit your personality perfectly. Sessions are down to earth, relaxed and fun so be prepared to laugh a little.
